About the Society
The Business and Entrepreneurship Society is the University of Aberdeen's core business Society dedicated to supporting all student members who have an interest in business, study business or are looking to set up their own enterprise.
The Society was founded in May 2025 after many of the other Business Societies at the University closed down during the COVID-19 pandemic. In our first year (the 2025/26 academic year) we have managed to host over twenty events and have been one of the most collaborative Societies on campus co-hosting nine events as well as being invited to take part in the University of Dundee Marketing Society Marketing Competition (March 2025). Although we are a business orientated Society our members vary in discipline, with many coming from outwith the Business School. For example, some of our members study Law, Politics and Philosophy.
The events that the Society hosts throughout the year include social events around Aberdeen, revision sessions orientated toward undergraduate students, guest speaker events and networking events with collaborating Societies. Going forward we aim to deliver consistent events that are fun and informative for our members.
